SongCart is built around the idea that your music — and your data — belong to you. This page explains exactly what we collect on songcart.io, where it goes, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

The only piece of personal data we collect through this website is the email address you enter into the signup form on the homepage. We collect it because you asked to be notified when the SongCart desktop app is available.

We do not use tracking cookies. We do not run third-party analytics. We do not use ad networks, pixels, fingerprinting, or session replay. The website has no login system.

Where your email is stored

Submitted emails are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare's serverless SQL service) located in Cloudflare's edge network. Access to that database is restricted to the SongCart team. We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your email to any third party.

We use it for one purpose: to send you product updates when the SongCart desktop app reaches early access and launch. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link.

The desktop app

When the SongCart desktop application ships, it runs entirely on your machine. It does not require an account. It does not phone home with telemetry. Your library, your playlists, and your listening history stay on your computer.

Cookies

songcart.io sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a small number of operational cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) for bot mitigation and DDoS protection. These do not identify you personally and are managed by Cloudflare's infrastructure.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Because the only data we hold is your email address, this is straightforward: email us and we will remove your record.

Children

SongCart is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our signup form, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above. Substantial changes (e.g. adding analytics) will also be communicated to anyone on the signup list before they take effect.
